Choose your membership

Choosing which membership will be right for you depends on what it is you are looking to gain from membership. You can join the CQI, IRCA or both. If you wish to join both, we recommend starting with the application form for IRCA and you can add on a CQI Practitioner application at the end of the form..

If you work in all aspects of quality, including auditing, we recommend joining the CQI. The Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) supports professionals working in quality management to build on their quality knowledge and skills, progress in their career and to showcase the importance of quality within their role and organisation. Anyone can join the CQI at our Affiliate grade.

If you work as an auditor and you are looking to get your name on the IRCA register and receive the IRCA card, we recommend you join IRCA. Please note, to become an IRCA member, you must have completed and passed an IRCA approved auditing course to the most recent version of the standard within the last 5 years. If you do not have this course, we would recommend joining the CQI as there are no requirements for our CQI Affiliate grade.

The CQI will give you access to an array of benefits including the below:

• Networking: We have over 18000 members across our memberships and access to the CQI will allow you to interact with our network through our networking events including our 29 branches and 11 Special Interest Groups which run regular events both in person and online.
• Resources: Our content materials including our quarterly ‘Quality World’ magazine, our ‘Quality World’ articles and webinars, our in-depth ISO reports, and access to our E-library.
• Development tools: Our development tools including our mentoring scheme, quality careers hub and e-learning courses.
• Professional Recognition: Our Practitioner and Chartered Member grades also provide you with use of unique postnominals as well as use of our online logos and certificates adding further recognition to you and your company’s profile.

If you work as an auditor, we recommend you join IRCA if you are looking to get your name on the IRCA register and receive the IRCA card.
